THE MINDFUL MANAGER

How to Lead Yourself and Others Well with Mindfulness

In these uncertain times and distracted workplaces, Mindfulness is more relevant than ever.

In this dynamic and demystifying talk, Christoph explains why the key practical benefit of Mindfulness is enhanced presence and how this leads to better communication, more empathy, improved collaboration, better resourcefulness, and greater resilience. Positive outcomes that ripple through the organisation but also support employee wellbeing outside of work. But how can we practice enhanced presence? Find out in this useful talk!

Key takeaways:

  • Why Mindfulness is a trainable skill

  • How to practice neuro-inclusive Mindfulness

  • How to apply Mindfulness to various aspects of leadership

Christoph is keen to ensure his talks are directly relevant to his audiences’ objectives. Therefore, this is an interactive keynote with room for audience participation, designed for conscious organisations who are genuinely keen to help their leadership teams thrive in these times of significant change.

THE MECHANISMS OF MINDFULNESS

How Does Mindfulness Work and How Can it Boost Wellbeing?

There may be no consensus in the psychological literature on the definition of mindfulness or its mechanisms, but the evidence base for the effectiveness of practicing Mindfulness is vast.

In this clarifying talk, Christoph reveals which key mechanisms are cultivated during Mindfulness practice and how they contribute to enhanced wellbeing.

Key takeaways:

  • What Mindfulness is and isn’t

  • The functions of Mindfulness

  • The underpinning cognitive and neural mechanisms of Mindfulness involved in self-regulation

  • How to practice neuro-inclusive Mindfulness in everyday life

Discover how we can recognise general mind tendencies which predispose all humans to suffering termed “universal vulnerability,” how to explore our relationship to stress, and how to cultivate the ability to let go of unhelpful stress-perpetuating patterns to improve our health and wellbeing.

MINDFULNESS FOR THE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY:

Creating Safer, More Inclusive Spaces for Practice

Mindfulness may be inherently inclusive -and being a part of a community is so helpful for practising mindfulness- yet many people feel excluded from the conventional group formats; for example, those who belong to the LGBTQIA+ community. Therefore, it's important and helpful to stop and ask "why is that?" and then inquire deeply into how we can foster more connected and more inclusive communities instead.

Key themes and questions explored in this talk:

  • The value of a specific interest or affinity group

  • The specific challenges for the LGBTQIA+ population

  • How can mindfulness teachers create truly welcoming spaces for LGBTQIA+ participants?

  • How to integrate LGBTQIA+ perspectives into your teaching, specifically in the areas of adaptations

  • How the teaching approach varies depending on the cultural backgrounds of the LGBTQIA+ participants

Christoph created this talk for the Global Mindfulness Summit in Singapore, where it was received with great appreciation from the international audience.

"I really enjoyed this session, thank you so much for demonstrating a different take on how mindfulness can be used in day-to-day life. I found it really insightful and useful."

Industry Placement Coach, The Sheffield College

"I love your authenticity, that shone so beautifully from the moment you step in till you ended the speech. Every word and action were reminders to us all to model such strength and courage that came with being comfortable and love to just being you. Please keep going! ❤️"

Sue-Ann Chan, Co-Organisor of the Global Mindfulness Summit 2025

"Christoph was one of our speakers at this year’s Atmosphere Festival in Worcester and gave a fascinating talk on Mindfulness. Christoph is a natural communicator with a wonderfully gentle delivery style, he clearly knows his stuff and our audience were thoroughly engaged with Christoph's talk. He was a pleasure to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again on future projects."
